Why does there always have to be an official song for each sport event there is?
This summer we had an official song for the World Championship in track and fields (a song by Amy Diamond that I never heard), of course every soccer World Cup seems to have at least two different songs (an official and one un-official), and today I heard the official song for the Swedish Winter Olympics team 2006...
It is sung by the melodifestival-group Fame (it's not Fame in the picture - it's the official OS-outfit), it is called "All in the Game", and it is truly awful...
OK, I guess this little song isn't worse than anything else...it is just so mediocre and unnecessary.
Who will be inspired by such a blunt little tune?
Who will ever play it? Buy it?
Or maybe it was written to match the Swedish achievements in the last winter Olympics?
Awful. Mediocre. Unnecessary. Blunt.
Keep readin’
Tomorrow’s a new day and a new song.
